Harris, Thorne

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leon Harris Jr. of Newton announce the engagement of the their daughter, Kristen LeAnn, to Matthew Jerome Thorne, son of Libby Jenkins of Decatur and Stanley Thorne of Newton.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 22, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Newton United Methodist Church.
Miss Harris is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Turner, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leon "Bud" Harris Sr., all of Newton.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Newton County Academy and a summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus with a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting.
Miss Harris is employed at Tony Chance and Company CPA in Forest.
Mr. Thorne is a graduate of Newton County Academy and attended East Central Community College. He is employed at Rick Justice Automotive in Meridian.
A reception will be held at the Newton Depot following the ceremony.
