    Obituaries for Monday, April 26, 2004

    NEWTON Services for Rufus Clark Walters will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Rives officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Walters, 85, of Little Rock, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Alliance Laird Hospital. He was born in the House Community in Neshoba County and was a lifelong resident of the Beulah Community of Newton County and a member of Beulah Baptist Church since 1948. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Military Police from 1941-1944 and served in World War II. He was a retired farmer and a retired driver for Miller Transporters. Mr. Walters was a member of the American Legion and The International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He will be remembered as a quiet man, that loved his family, neighbors and his country.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Reeves Walters of Little Rock; a son, Danny Wayne Walters and his wife, Carol Lane, of Vicksburg; a daughter, Charlotte Walters Bryan and her husband, Elton O'Neil Bryan, of Little Rock; step-sons, Randy Reeves, U.S. Navy and Roger Reeves, both of Meridian; a granddaughter, Nicole Walters Bryan of Little Rock; grandsons, Wade Ashley Walters of Sumrall, Kerry Wayne Walters and Daron Scott Walters, both of Madison and Joel Keith Walters of Vicksburg; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Laurine Blass Walters; his parents, John Thomas and Missouri Lee Weatherford Walters; brothers, Preston Walters, Tom Walters and Carlie Walters, Clearman Walters and Covert Walters; sisters, Lura Gordon, Julia Dallas, Dorothy Wright and Doris Meyer.
    Memorials may be made to the Rufus Clark and Laurine Blass Walters Memorial Trust Fund, Baptist Foundation, P.O. Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205 or National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mississippi Chapter, 145 Executive Dr. Suite 1, Madison, MS 39110.
    Pallbearers will be Wade Walters, Kerry Walters, Daron Walters, Joel Walters, Ronald Walters and Donald Walters. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Graham, Roger K. Harrison, Cebron Gordon, Don Laird, Hubert Hall, Bobby James, Chaney Motley, Sammye Johnson, Hamp Estes and Jimmy Nicholson.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    QUITMAN Services for James Milton Seale will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Living Word Church with the Revs. Roger Leggett and Charles Miles officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Quitman. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Seale, 72, of Quitman, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Margarette Seale; daughters, Glenda Dobbins and Patsy Todd, all of Quitman; and six grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. E.S. Seale; a daughter, Janice Seale Watkins, a brother, Earl Seale Jr. and a sister, Ida Mae Seale.
    Memorials may be made to the Gideons International.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the church and Tuesday noon until service time at the church.
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Jazmine Bell will be held Wednesday at St. Teresa Catholic Church with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Isaac Cemetery in Neshoba County. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Infant Jazmine, 13 months, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Choctaw Health Center.
    Survivors include her parents, Corey and Briana Bell; a brother, Dayton Bell; maternal grandmother, Susie Henry; paternal grandmother, Louisa Marie Bell and paternal great-grandfather, Ted York, all of Philadelphia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Juanita York.
