Retired school teacher
UNION Services for Colah Morrow Lewis will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Chris Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis, 97, of Madison, formerly of Union, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Arbor Nursing Home in Ridgeland.
Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Jenkins and Margaret Stricker, both of Jackson; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Lewis ;and a daughter, Pat Kidder.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 902 E. Jackson Rd., Union, MS 39365.
Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Retired secretary
UNION Services for Mary Birdeen Vance James will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Union with the Revs. Marcus Finch, Barry Skelton and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. James, 86, of Meridian, formerly of Union, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Fisher Personal Care Home.
Survivors include her husband, Murray James of Meridian, formerly of Union; daughters, Sherrol Sheaffer and her husband, Pat, of Meridian and Martha Nolan and her husband, Kevin, of Hot Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren, Ryan Plunkett, Jennifer Plunkett, Steve Nolan and Pat Sheaffer; a sister-in-law, Virgie Vance of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Union.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired truck driver
Services for Mose F. Drummer will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Herman Church with the Rev. Joseph Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Drummer, 81, of Meridian, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, in Meridian.
Survivors include his fiance, Cora A. Grace; sons, Johnny Drummer of Los Angeles and Ralph Cole of Chicago; daughters, Hattie Greene of Long Beach, Calif., Carol Jones of Elkgrove and Betty Jones of Chicago; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Retired Imperial Cleaners employee
Services for Toynettie Williams will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Era Baptist Church with the Rev. Roderick Steele officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams, 76, of Nashville, Tenn., died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Southern Hill Hospital.
Survivors include her sisters, Nettie Mae Harris Williams and Ollie Jean Harris Allen; two adopted children, Henrene Mosley of Meridian and Russell Mosley and his wife, Esther, of Nashville; step-children, Jeff Williams, Thomas Williams Jr., Katherine Clayborn, Betty Lott and Betty Walker; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Williams and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Otis D. Horton, 84, of Collinsville, who died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in his home.
