    Services for Armetta Mosley Jenkins will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Daleville with the Revs. Cleveland Hayes and Melvin Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Jenkins, 91, of Meridian, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her sons, Matthew Jenkins and his wife, Shirley, and the Rev. Melvin Jenkins, all of Daleville; daughters, Symerion Tyson and Cordelia Gilford, both of New York, N.Y., Annie Pollard of Columbus, Helen Gordon and her husband, Luther, of Daleville, and Martha Carter and her husband, Roosevelt, of Florence, Ala.; a sister, Teresa Smith-Whiteside and her husband, Ken, of Ocala, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Matthew Jenkins Sr.
    Visitation will be Friday noon-7 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

    NEWTON Services for Margaret Prince Roach will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Leroy Brewer and Davey Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Roach, 82, of Newton, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Garden Club, Triple L Club and First Baptist Church of Newton.
    Survivors include her daughter, Regina Johnston and her husband, Bill, of Decatur; sons, Joseph W. Roach and his wife, Cynthia, and Brian P. Roach and his wife, Jacinda, all of Madison; a brother, Thomas G. Prince and his wife, Helen, of Newton; a granddaughter, Maegan Johnston of Decatur; and grandsons, Michael Roach of Brandon and Kirk Johnston of Decatur.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. "Pete" Roach; and her parents, William Mason and Elma Bounds Prince.
    Pallbearers will be Bill May, Will McMillan, Harold Johnson, Bob Douglas, John Gibson, Robert Garvin and Andy Armstrong. Honorary pallbearer will be Austin Usry.
    Artist and interior decorator
    MOBILE, Ala. Services for Lucille Lide Williams will be held today at 2 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
    Mrs. Williams, 92, of Mobile, formerly of Meridian, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Mobile Infirmary. She was born in Laurel on Jan. 25, 1912 and at an early age moved to Meridian. She was raised along with her siblings by her parents, the late Thomas Jefferson Lide and Maggie Molpus Lide. She married Mack G. Williams and raised two sons in the Mobile area.
    At Westlawn Elementary School she served both as president of the PTA and as a substitute teacher. She was an artist and interior decorator and worked most of her career as the owner of Lucille Williams Interiors.
    In 1998 she moved to Gordon Oaks Retirement Community, where she was reunited with old friends and made many new friends. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in Mobile. She was known as "Aunt Lucille" to many, even those who were not relatives.
    Survivors include her sons, Raymond Williams of Annapolis, Md., and Morris Williams of Highlands, N.C.; a sister, Mollie Lide Monk; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack G. Williams; her parents, Thomas Jefferson Lide and Maggie Molpus Lide; and five brothers, Adrian, Bernard "B.C.," Herman, Leland "Tom," and Lamar "Dick."
    Memorials may be made to Springhill Baptist Church Foundation, 2 McGregor Ave. S., Mobile AL 36608.
    Visitation will be today beginning at noon at the funeral home.
    Owner, operator of motel and laundry mat
    YORK, Ala. Services for William Charles "Bill" Reid Sr. will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scottie Fulcher officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
    Mr. Reid, 71, of Butler, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include his wife, Patricia Reid of Butler; sons, William Charles Reid Jr. and Carlos Patrick Reid, both of Demopolis, Timothy Clark Reid of Moundville and David Robert Reid of Butler; a sister, Julianne Dyar of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren.
    Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, P.O. Box 452, Butler, AL 36904 or First United Methodist Church of Butler, 511 S. Mulberry St., Butler, AL 36904.
    Visitation will be today 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

    NEWTON Services for Jimmie Laura Bufkin will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Hickory Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Bufkin, 90, of Hickory, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Bedford Care Center in Newton. She was a member of Hickory Baptist Church for many years and a former Sunday school teacher.
    Survivors include her daughter, Clara Sandifer and her husband, Maxie, of Flint, Texas; sons, Cayce Bufkin Jr. and his wife, Mary, and Bruce Bufkin and his wife, Carol, all of Hickory; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Cayce Bufkin Sr.
    Pallbearers will be Roy White, Bobby Butler, Jim Cates, Troy Brand Jr., Bobby Munn and Tom Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons at Hickory Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Retired barber
    QUITMAN Services for George Willie Hyatt will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Cotten officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Meridian. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hyatt, 74, of Quitman, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church. He was a barber for more than 45 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a paratrooper during the U.S. occupation of Europe during World War II. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Japan during the Korean War. He received the National Defense Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Occupational Defense Medal, (U.S.R) and Paratrooper Badge. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as senior vice commander and squad leader of the Rifle Team.
