EMCC splits a pair of games with Bevill St.

Macon Central 3, Imanuel Christian 2
Macon Central 10, Imanuel Christian 4
Macon Central improved to 4-6 with the doubleheader sweep of Imanuel Christian on Tuesday night. Matt Persons took the pitching win in game one and moved his record to 1-1.
Macon Central scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning in game one which proved to be the difference as Greg Pruitt led the way at the plate with an RBI double.
The Vikings had no troubles in game two with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the six-run win. Cody Boykin picked up the pitching win for Macon Central and improved to 1-1 for the season. Boykin also led the Vikings with a pair of hits including a double.
Louisville 25
Canton 0
The Wildcats scored 15 runs in the first inning and 10 runs in the second inning to take the win. Louisville (13-1) had 12 hits in the game and Ken Coleman had an unbelievable night at the plate.
Coleman led the Wildcats with three hits and one of the three hits was a home run. Chris Eichelberger also added a double for Louisville.
Ridgeland 4
Neshoba Central 2
The Rockets dropped a two-run loss on the road at Ridgeland on Tuesday night. Scott Fieber took the loss on the mound for Neshoba Central and Michael Smith led the way at the plate with two singles.
Noxapater 9
Nanih Waiya 8
Noxapater scored three early runs in the first inning and held off a late surge by Nanih Waiya to earn the one-run win.
David Edwards took the win on the mound and moved to 3-1 for the season. Jon Edwards led the way at the plate with three hits including a double. David Edwards also helped himself out by collecting two hits including a double.
St. Andrew's 11
Lake 10
St. Andrew's scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the 11-10 win over the Hornets last week.
Heath Street led the way for Lake with three hits including a double and Adam Brown chipped in with two singles.
Ryan Sorey took the loss on the mound for Lake and dropped his record to 3-1.
Greene County 7
Sumter County 4
Rodriquez Jones hit a three-RBI triple as Greene County edged Sumter County in baseball action in Eutaw on Tuesday. Jones finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Andrea Woods pitched five innings for the victory, while Wendell Allen earned the save. Thomas Bell suffered the loss.

Greensboro 12, Livingston 2
Freshman right-hander Ivory White and eighth-grade right-hander Jason Fondren notched wins as Greensboro swept a doubleheader against visiting Livingston on Tuesday.
White (4-1), allowed one hit and struck out 10 over five innings. Fondren allowed two runs and two hits while striking out nine in his first varsity game.

West Lauderdale 7
The Lady Cougars scored seven runs in the second inning and collected seven hits in a two-run win over West Lauderdale Tuesday night. Dominique Mapp led Newton County with a triple and home run.
Megan Gullette led West Lauderdale with a double and single.
Warrior Academy 16
Sumter Academy 5
Malorie Langham finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs as Warrior Academy beat homestanding Sumter Academy in five innings on Tuesday.
Trisha Langham added one hit and three RBIs for Warrior Academy, while Heather Williams had two hits and two RBIs. Missy Hester had two hits for Sumter Academy.

Senior Jordy Hayes shot a 71 over 18 holes for Sumter Academy at Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.
Tuscaloosa Academy was led by senior Bobby Mullins' 84.

Union took a win on the golf links Tuesday over Neshoba Central by a final of 168-187. Jonathan Winstead was the overall medalist by firing a low round 38 at the Union Country Club.
Meridian 167
Brandon 180
The Wildcats took a team golf win over Brandon at Patrick Farms Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. Eric Pollison was the overall winner for Meridian with a low round score of 41.
JUCO SOFTBALL
Northwest 4-7
EMCC 2-0
The Lady Lions took a pair of losses on the road at Northwest after sweeping Itawamba on Monday at home. Libby Denny led East Mississippi in game with a pair hits and Denny also took the loss on the mound.
East Mississippi couldn't manage a hit in game two as Sara Houston tossed a complete game no-hitter for Northwest.
