Officers aid arrest of man

Lauderdale County sheriff's deputies and an East Mississippi Drug Task Force agent cornered a man Friday on Highway 39 North who was wanted on a felony drug warrant in Kemper County.
Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, identified the man as Teddy Griffin. Kemper County sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene and arrested Griffin.
Officials with the Kemper County Sheriff's Department did not return phone calls seeking more information, including Griffin's age, hometown and details of the outstanding warrant.
Information also was unavailable on the two passengers in Griffin's car, including their names and whether they were arrested.
Lauderdale County sheriff's deputies stopped Griffin's vehicle at about 1 p.m. on Highway 39 North, about a half mile from North Hills Street.
The description of the vehicle matched a description provided by Kemper County authorities who were looking for Griffin.
