Meridian man dies in shooting

A Meridian man was shot and killed at a 1418 29th Ave. home late Thursday.
Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler identified the victim as Alonzo Boyd Jr., 32, of 1438 38th Ave.
Meridian Police are investigating the shooting and have an unidentified suspect in custody.
Detective Dean Harper, an MPD spokesman, said the shooting happened inside the home at about 7 p.m.
