50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tisdale were honored with a 50th wedding anniversary reception on Sunday Dec. 7, 2003, at Union Station. The reception was hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, David and Lela Tisdale, and their grandson, Justin. The couple was married on Dec. 12, 1953, at Four Square Church in Meridian. Mrs. Tisdale is the former Jewel I. Thompson. Mr. Tisdale is retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. They were honored with a trip to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
