Cavenaugh to compete for Mississippi's Homecoming Queen

Joy Cavenaugh, the daughter of Rick and Linda Cavenaugh of Chunky, has been selected as a finalist for Mississippi's 24th Annual Homecoming Queen.
The program will be March 27 and 28 at the Jackson Hilton.
Cavenaugh is currently serving as Newton County High School's Homecoming Queen.
If selected as Mississippi's Homecoming Queen, she will receive a cash scholarship plus an expense paid trip to the national finals to compete with queens from other states for America's Homecoming Queen.
The current Mississippi Homecoming Queen is Kala Marie Welborn from Stringer High School. The 2003 America's Homecoming Queen is Chanley Sha' Painter from Arkansas.
