Mr. and Mrs. Grover Robinson Jr. of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Sue, to the Rev. Samuel Pike Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Smith II of Quitman.
The wedding will be Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. at Russell Baptist Church.
Miss Robinson is the granddaughter of Christine Whitenton of Meridian and the late Lamar Whitenton and Mr. and Mrs. Grover Robinson Sr. of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Abeka Academy.
Miss Robinson is a homemaker.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of Ella Mae Long and the late Cody Long and Dartha Smith and the late Atlee Smith Sr., all of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School.
Mr. Smith is employed by Mathis Logging Co.
A reception will be held at the church family life center following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
