SEL Lady Tigers keep rolling along

Southeast Lauderdale continued its dominace by notching another division win on the road Friday night by taking a convincing 88-51 win over Carthage. The Lady Tigers are currently 22-1 and return to action today at home against Quitman.
The Lady Tigers had four players score in double figures. Lashondra Hall led the way with a game-high 20 points. Ebony Moore chipped in with 12 points, and Quita Reed notched 11. Sam Smith checked in with 10 points to round out the Southeast Lauderdale offense.
Alisha Matlock led the way in scoring for Carthage with a team-high 14 points in the home-court loss.

Dexter Leflore hit a jump shot in the closing seconds to help Carthage take a two-point home win over the Tigers.
Leflore finshed the game with 28 points to lead Carthage, and Dale Miller added 12 in the win.
Chris Gordon led the way for Southeast Lauderdale with 21 points, and Alex West and Robert Hopson each added 12 points in the setback.
Clarkdale girls 50
Seminary 43
The Lady Bulldogs grabbed a much needed home win by taking down Seminary by seven points at home on Friday. Felicia Kirksey and Jayme Hales each had 11 points to lead Clarkdale to the win.
Tara Smith scored 13 points to lead Seminary in the road loss to the Clarkdale.
Clarkdale (7-11) returns to action on Tuesday at Heidelberg.

Clarkdale (9-9) needed overtime to take down Seminary and earn the sweep for the evening. Shannon Henley continued his great play by scoring a game-high 18 points, and Drew Edwards tallied 16 points.
Scott Benson also had a good night by scoring 14 points for the Bulldogs in the home victory.
Kemper Aca. girls 51
Winston Academy 39
The Lady Rams improved to 17-7 overall with an 11-point road win over Winston Academy. Leslie Beach led Kemper Academy with a game-high 22 points to pace the Lady Ram attack.
Kayla Mosley chipped in with nine points in the victory. Kemper Academy will return to action next Friday at home against Oak Hill Academy.
SCA girls 43
Patrician Aca. 30
South Choctaw Academy needed a big win on the road and secured a huge 13-point victory away from home at Patrician Academy to improve to 10-7 overall and 4-1 in division play.
Krista Clark led the way with 12 points, and Angela Johnson cracked double figures with 11 points. Kane Andrews led the way in scoring for Patrician Academy with 14 points, and Margo Ethridge added nine in the loss.

South Choctaw Academy led by 10 points at the half and never reliquished the lead to take the nine-point road win. Rob Dahlberg led the way with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Justin Mason added 15 in the win.
Joshua Adams scored 13 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds for South Choctaw Academy.
Brent Bonner led the way in scoring for Patrician Academy with 17 points.

Wayne County 1
The Trojans continued to play well by taking a six-goal win over the War Eagles in local prep soccer action Friday night.
Levi Pitts scored the lone goal for the War Eagles on an assit from Brandon Sellers. Wayne County ended the season with a record of 7-9-3 compared to a 2002-2003 record of 0-16.
