Scotty David Elliott of Meridian is among 70 Mississippi College students selected for inclusion in the 2003-2004 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, a publication reserved for outstanding campus leaders. Elliott is the son of Dr. Scott and Claudia Elliott of Meridian.
CLINTON Rebecca Sara-Nell McCarty of Meridian is among 70 Mississippi College students selected for inclusion in the 2003-2004 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, a publication reserved for outstanding campus leaders. McCarty is the daughter of Van and Robin McCarty of Meridian.
Andrea Kelly of Meridian has been accepted for admission into the funeral service technology program at East Mississippi Community College's Scooba campus.
She is a graduate of Meridian High School and Meridian Community College. She works at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Meridian.
Established in 1975, the Funeral Service Technology Department at ECCC is the oldest mortuary program in Mississippi. It is fully accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education and is recognized by both the International Conference of Funeral Service examining boards and the Mississippi State Board of Funeral Service.
Kelly is the daughter of Eugene Kelly of Meridian and the late Marie Kelly.
Ruby "Rudi" McDonald of Meridian has been accepted for admission into the funeral service technology program at East Mississippi Community College's Scooba campus.
McDonald is a native of Denver, where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She is the daughter of Eddie and Dorothy McDonald of Shubuta. She has been a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines for 25 years and is making a career change.
Natalie Myatt of Meridian was named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., for the fall quarter of 2003. Myatt is a full-time undergraduate student who earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter. She is an interior design major and the daughter of Ray and Regina Myatt.
The following area students have been named to the Dean's List at East Mississippi Community College for the 2003 fall semester: Dana L. Chatman, Anna A. Deviney, Rachael Leigh Espey, Emily Michelle Hardy, Linda Faye Hopson, Walter S. Jordan III, Amber Nicole Joyner and Victor DiCarlo McNair.
The following area students were named to the Director's List for the fall semester at EMCC: Anthony Clark Cox, Michael Douglas Ethridge and Joshua Kirby Miller.
The following area students were named to the President's List for the fall semester at EMCC: Tina Louise Burroughs, Sharonda L. Burton, Christina M. Evans, Amanda Leigh Harpole, Katrina Marie Jennings, James Bernard Markham, Ruby D. McDonald, Edward Jermaine McWilliams, Williams Scott Mosely, Kenny Juel Odum Jr., Jeannette R. Stubbs and Jeremy T. Wright.
