Lamar rolls past Trinity Episcopal

The Lamar School boys' soccer team increased its unbeaten streak to four on Wednesday.
The Raiders (3-0-1) dominated the Trinity Episcopal Day School Saints (0-2) at Grey Cobbs Field to take a 10-1 win the team's first home game of the season.
Lamar opened they year with three straight road games, defeating Presbyterian Christian and Hillcrest Christian and tying Jackson Prep.
Raiders striker Dylan Anderson opened the scoring two minutes into the first half, and he added a second goal five minutes later to take a 2-0 lead at the game's seventh-minute mark.
Drew Moffett notched Lamar's third goal of the game scoring off a rebound in the 15th minute, and he put in a headball shot off a cross from Lane Rush on a cornerkick for a 4-0 advantage in the 18th minute.
Rush capped the scoring for the Raiders in the first half picking up a hat trick. He scored goals in the 20th, 26th and 34th minutes to give Lamar a 7-0 lead at halftime.
Lamar's Daniel Hicks scored a goal three minutes into the second half off a crossing pass from a corner kick by Rush to go up 8-0.
Will Loeb collected the ninth goal of the game for the Raiders in at the game's 65-minute mark, and Logan Rush scored Lamar's final goal in the 75th minute.
Trinity's Nason Stephens broke Lamar's shut out with less than 10 seconds to play in the game scoring with a headball shot from a cornerkick by Sam Kirby.
The Raiders outshot the Saints 37-8 in the game.
