JACKSON The No. 4-ranked Lamar School boys soccer team played the No. 1-ranked Jackson Prep Patriots to a standstill on Monday.
The Raiders finished their contest with the Patriots tied at one to improve their record to 2-0-1 for the season. Jackson Prep's record moved to 1-0-1 with the tie.
Randy Boyd Thompson scored the lone goal for Lamar in the tie.

Kemper Aca. 49
DEKALB Kayla Mosley recorded a double-double for Kemper Academy notching a team-high 12 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the team's loss to Winston on Monday.
Samantha Harpole tallied 11 points for Kemper Academy in the loss.
Whitney Whiteside scored a game-high 18 points for Winston.

Erin Watkins scored 25 of Newton County Academy's 35 points in the team's loss to Macon Central on Monday.

Ross Bound scored a game-high 25 points for Macon Central to lead his team to a win over Newton County Academy on Monday. Tony Sudduth added 10 points for Macon Central, which improved to 6-3 for the year with the victory.
John Schellenback scored a team-high 21 points for NCA.

Hinds 77
DECATUR The East Central Community College women's basketball team improved its record to 8-2 with a home win over Hinds.
Ebone'e Leverette scored 17 points to lead the Lady Warriors to victory. Lenore Gray tallied 14 points for ECCC, and Kimyatta Viverette added 12.
LaShundra Griffin scored a game-high 20 points for Hinds (2-6.

DECATUR Donald Jones scored a game-high 18 points for the Hinds Community College men's basketball team.(6-3) to lead the visiting team to a win over East Central Community College (3-6).
Jamaal Martin and Ryan Hudson each scored 16 points for the Warriors.
