Toys for Tots finds Meridian receptive

Staff Sgt. Donald Dare is the coordinator of the Toys for Tots program in Lauderdale County and says the response from the community has been tremendous.
Toys for Tots is a national organization that collects toys for needy children at Christmas. The campaign kicked off in October.
Dare said he wants to get the word out that any one in the surrounding area who wants to do a toys drive needs to contact the Toys for Tots coordinator.
Last year Dare and his fellow Marines collected 3,000 toys that were donated to the Wesley House Community Center. His goal this year is 5,000.
