Friday is application deadline for Meridian's Holiday Parade

Time is running out for those who want to participate in the annual Meridian Holiday Parade the deadline to submit applications is Friday and the parade is Dec. 4.
Under the theme "My Favorite Christmas Story," this year's parade will be a highlight of local festivities to welcome the holiday season.
The city of Meridian's Christmas tree at City Hall will be lit at 5:30 p.m. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and will march through the streets of downtown.
Prizes will be given for an overall winner and first, second and third in commercial and non-commercial divisions.
