School officials shift jobs

As the Meridian Public School District focuses on excellence and improved test scores, changes are taking place on individual campuses.
Interim School Superintendent Sylvia Autry said there is more shifting of positions in the district this year than usual.
She said most of the changes in the district were voluntary. Here's a look at what will be different in Meridian schools in the fall.
Robert Markham left his position as principal at Carver Middle School to become deputy superintendent of Meridian Public Schools.
Lucy Keene left her position as principal at Magnolia Middle School to fill a technical support for school improvement at Meridian's administrative office.
Wayne Eason left his position as director of Ross Collins Career and Technical Center to become the dean of vocational instruction at East Central Community College.
Cythia Pouncey left her position as assistant principal at Meridian High School to become principal of Magnolia Middle School.
Pat Ross left his position as assistant principal at Northwest Junior High School to become assistant principal at Meridian High School.
Judy Stevenson left her position as assistant director at Ross Collins to move outside the district.
Daniel Rushing left his position as assistant principal at Magnolia Middle School to move outside of the district.
