Hawkins, Posey

The engagement of Brenda Rosamond Hawkins and Jamison Hunt Posey was announced at an evening party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis Thames in Vicksburg.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Russell Edward Hawkins of Vicksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Robert David Posey of Meridian and Teresa Babin of Alexandria, La.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at 6 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Vicksburg.
Miss Hawkins is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lancaster of Hattiesburg, the late Coy Davis of Long Beach and the late Mattie L. Hawkins of Jackson.
She is the great-granddaughter of Hubert Rayborn of Sumrall.
The bride-elect is a honors graduate of Warren City High School in Vicksburg, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, president of Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
She received a bachelor's of business administration degree in marketing from the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration and graduated cum laude. She received a juris doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May.
While at Ole Miss, she was a member and scholarship chairman of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, director of public relations for the National Panhellenic Council and a member of Golden Key National Honor Society.
Mr. Posey is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben G. Posey of Meridian, and the late Ethel Thigpen.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a business of business administration degree in both management and management information systems from the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration,
He received a master's of business administration from the University of Mississippi and is currently a doctoral candidate in management information systems and organizational behavior.
A reception will be held at the B'nai B'rith Literary Club following the ceremony.
