Charli Earline Reid and Charles Thomas Pierce announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are June Burr of Gulfport and Homer and Laree Pierce of Lawrence.
The wedding will be Saturday, May, 17, 2003, at 3:30 p.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church.
Miss Reid is the granddaughter of Verla Barrett of Decatur and the late N.G. Barrett.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Harrison Central High School and is currently attending East Central Community College in Decatur.
Mr. Pierce is the grandson of Magadine Vaughan of Newton and the late Alva Vaughan of Philadelphia, and the late Jack and Frances Pierce of Decatur.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Newton County High School in Decatur and a 1998 graduate of East Central Community College.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
