Angela Ramsey Meyer and Jack Edward Groner, both of Atlanta, were married Saturday, April 26, 2003, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Meridian with the Rev. Edward O'Connor officiating.
The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Michael McSweeney of Meridian, the late Carlton Shipman Sutton III of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Castellaw Groner of Baton Rouge, La.
Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Reuben S. Johnson Jr. of Meridian and the late Mr. Johnson, and Antionette Sutton of Jacksonville and the late Carlton Shipman Sutton Jr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fagan, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Groner of New Orleans.
Nuptial music was provided by David Benson, organist; Sue Shoffiett, flautist; and Tom Lowe, violinist.
The bride was given in marriage by her step-father. She wore a gown of ivory silk shantung accented with French darts and hand-sewn silk embroidery with pearls along the neckline and edged the chapel-length train. Her cathedral-length veil was double-layered silk ivory tulle with scattered crystals and edged trim.
Leah Elizabeth Meyer of Atlanta, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Cater Harris of Savannah, Ga., Barbara Rea Hebert of Baton Rouge, Mary Ellen Hembree of Pensacola, Fla., Leslie Chancellor Hiatt of Meridian, Heather Lynn Hughes of Smyrna, Ga., LouAnn Jones Lamar and Hayley Williams Shirley, both of Meridian, and Tracy Teveria Thornton of Birmingham, Ala.
Flower girl was Ann Morgan Lamar of Meridian. Ring bearers were Thomas Couch Rutherford Coleman and Foster William Horton Coleman of Atlanta.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Russell Michael Davis Jr. of New Iberia, La., Nathan Tyler Guice of Covington, La., Roger Emile McGuire of Baton Rouge, Jason Paul Mogabgab of Mandeville, La., Talbott Patrick Ottinger of Nashville, David Wayne Shelton of Jackson, Kelly Christopher Sills of Baton Rouge and Robert David Rabalais of New Orleans.
Junior groomsman was Joseph Edward Groner of Port Allen, La. Ushers were Richard Casey Crawford of Baton Rouge, Richard Jarrad Garner of Jackson, Robert Joseph Kiebach of Atlanta, Michael Todd Reece of Nashville and Thomas Richard Temple Jr. of Baton Rouge.
Readers were Leigh Varner Barrett of Lexington and Sandra Haag Caraccilo of Atlanta.
Program attendants were Sandra Haag Caraccilo and Jonathan Vincent Caraccilo of Atlanta. The bride's proxy was Courtney Meyer Myers of Atlanta.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Weidmann's.
A reception was held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon trip to Maui, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
