Local residents have parts in Gilbertown play

The Ballet &Theatre Arts Performing Companies of Gilbertown, Ala., will present their production of "Arsenic and Old Lace" tonight through Sunday.
Tonight and Saturday, performances are at 8 p.m. The Sunday matinee is at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8. The theater is at 253 College St. in Gilbertown.
The story revolves around two charming and innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers; the antics of their nephew who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt; and the activities of their other nephews, Mortimer and Jonathan.
The cast includes the following:
Kenny Richardson of Stonewall as Teddy Brewster; Melanie Brannan of Butler as Abby Brewster; Coleman Quinn of Grove Hill, Ala., as the Rev. Dr. Harper and Mr. Witherspoon; Doug Scott of Butler as Officer Brophy; Jeremy Richardson of Stonewall as Officer Klein; Georgia Dozier of Isney, Ala., as Martha Brewster; Catherine Odom of St. Stephens, Ala., as Elaine Harper; Josh Kesling of Cullomburg, Ala., as Mortimer Brewster; Irwin Misrok of Millry, Ala., as Mr. Gibbs; Jason Mills of Waynesboro as Jonathan Brewster; Norman Hall of Grove Hill as Dr. Einstein; Ed Rose of Gilbertown as Officer O'Hara; and Melanie Walker of Grove Hill as Lt. Rooney.
