MPD investigates back-to-back robberies

Meridian police are looking for suspects in three armed robberies that happened back-to-back Monday.
Sgt. Randy Jackson of the Meridian Police Department said a business and two individuals were robbed at gunpoint in separate incidents. The first was at about 11:15 a.m.
Jackson said an insurance agent collecting premiums was robbed after giving a ride to a man. Jackson said the suspect had the insurance agent take him to the Red Line area, near 17th Street, where he pulled a gun and robbed the motorist.
The suspect was described as a black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
At about 1:30 p.m., a woman reported that she was robbed at gunpoint after getting out of her car at 16th Street and 23rd Avenue. She told police she was on her way to a doctor's appointment, when a black man, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds, pulled a pistol on her and took her money.
At 2:20 p.m., police responded to Washington Mutual Finance, 1515 14th St., where a robber walked into the business, reportedly making small talk before pulling a pistol out of his pocket and demanding a clerk's purse and all of the money in the cash drawer. The suspect is described as a black man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds
