Meridian man killed in car wreck

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate today a fatal accident that happened Friday on Highway 19.
Jerome Dixon, 47, died at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center on Friday night after his 1988 Toyota left the southbound lane of Highway 19 and struck a tree.
The accident happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday, about five miles south of Meridian.
Clayton Cobler, Lauderdale County deputy coroner, said Dixon was found outside of his vehicle.
