Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lowe of Laurel announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Danyell, to Michael Howard Gibson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Gibson of Butler, Ala.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 4 p.m. at Life Church in Laurel.
Miss Lowe is the granddaughter of Russell S. Cormier and the late Dorothy L. Cormier, and Bessie Lowe and the late Hurshel Lowe.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Jones High School and received an associate's of life science degree from Jones County Junior College.
While attending JCJC, she was a member of Phi Beta Lambda, the Drama Club and Concert Singers.
Miss Lowe is employed by Cellular South as an account executive.
Mr. Gibson is the grandson of the late S.E. and Betty Howard, and Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Gibson of Laurel.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Marengo Academy and Jones County Junior College. He is currently a senior at Mississippi State University.
While attending JCJC, he was a member of Phi Beta Lambda, the Concert Singers, JC Ensemble and Madrigals.
Mr. Gibson is employed by Citizens National Bank and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
A reception will be held in the church's family life center following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
