Graveside services for Ashtyn Nichole Hughes will be held today at 1 p.m. at Center Ridge Cemetery with the Revs. Lynn Chaney and James McMullan officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Hughes, one month, of Little Rock, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Billy Hughes Jr. and Christy Hughes; sisters, Cynthiana Hughes and Kayla Hughes; brothers, Billy Hughes III and Nathan Thompson Hughes, all of Little Rock; paternal grandparents, Sydney and Mike Sharp of Little Rock; paternal great-grandmother, Ella Hughes of Bailey; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Shirley Thompson of Picayune; maternal grandmother, Deborah Bowling of Florida; and maternal great-grandparents, John and Aubry Smith of Meridian.
Retired nurse's assistant at East Mississippi State Hospital
PHILADELPHIA Services for Earlene Mae Chesney will be held today at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Curtis Guess and Gilbert Allan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chesney, 92, of Union, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Alliance-Laird Hospital in Union.
Survivors include her daughters, Geraldine Treadwell of California and Joyce Elliott of Union; sons, Lavon Chesney of California and Marzell Chesney of Union; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Chesney of Union, Geneva Reynolds of Meridian, Lillian Boatner and Louise Reynolds, both of Union; and a brother, Varnell Warren of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Chesney.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

SHREVEPORT, La. Services for Zelma W. Salter will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Paul Carroll and Greg Davis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue.
Mrs. Salter, 97, died Monday, March 3, 2003. She was born in Red River Parish, La., and was the youngest of eight children of Richard and Mary Frances White. She and her husband maintained a farm in Red River Parish until 1946. Mrs. Salter was a graduate of Meadows-Draughon Business College. She was a secretary in Huey P. Long's law office and ended her secretarial career with Trailways Bus Company. She was active in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church near Coushatta, La., Wynne Memorial United Methodist Church and Mangum Memorial United Methodist in Shreveport.
Survivors include her sons, Le Darby Salter and his wife, Jane, Richard Salter and his wife, Betty; four grandchildren, two step-grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, four sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be C.J. Calhoun, B.D. Culbertson, Miles Hitchcock, Donnie Lawless, A.C. Looney and Larry Rice.
Memorials may be made to Mangum Memorial United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Sue Carol Gault will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Espey officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Gault, 51, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church, a beloved wife and mother and affectionately known as "Grannie."
Survivors include her husband, Micky L. Gault of Meridian; three sons, Ron Gault and his wife, Kim, of Hover, Ala., Jason Gault and Lucus Gault, both of Meridian; a brother, Jimmy Gibson of Meridian; and a granddaughter, Olivia Gault of Hover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Gibson and Cora M. Wood Gibson.
Pallbearers will be Ed Sheely, Eddie Sheely, Rick Davis, Matt Davis, Jimmy Gault and Joey Redmond.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

UNION Services for Hazel Evans Burroughs will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy Edgar and Keith Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Dixon.
Mrs. Burroughs, 90, of Union, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Union. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church and New Ireland Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Harriet Clark and her husband, Tootsie, of Union; sons, William Chester Burroughs Jr. of Midlothian, Texas, and Thomas Lavelle Burroughs and his wife, Rube, of Meridian; a sister, Thelma Barham of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Judy Underwood, Libby Fisher, Beverly Long, Stacey Clark, Steve Burroughs, Rhonda Parr, Chris, Lane and Tammy Burroughs, and Jessica Simpson; 11 great-grandchildren, Chris and Dassie Fisher, Brad and Nickey Underwood, Heather and Jay Johnson, Hailey Clark, Olivia Marshall, Parker Grace and Steven Burroughs; and one great-great-grandchild, Alyssa Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Chester Burroughs; parents, Herman and Hattie Evans; and a sister, Joy Butler.
Pallbearers will be Stacey Clark, Lane Burroughs, Murry Underwood, Phillip Fisher, Greg Long and Bobby Tillman.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jay Johnson.
Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Mattie L. Bourdeaux will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Greater Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Perrien Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bourdeaux, 78, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
