WASHINGTON An $81.4 million contract awarded by the U.S. Air Force includes work that will be performed at Raytheon Corporation's Forest Facility, U.S. Sen. Trent Lott and U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering said Monday.
The Air Force is awarding the contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company. The contract calls for the upgrade of 26 F-15 aircraft radar systems, work which will actually be performed by Raytheon at its Forest and El Segundo, Calif., facilities.
