50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. P.C. "Kit" Stewart celebrated their 50th anniversary Jan. 18, 2003, with a reception at Jones Chapel Church of God. The event was hosted by their children, Pelvia and Chuck Woods, and Mack David and Linda Stewart. The couple was married Jan. 24, 1953, in the home of the Rev. and Mrs. T. Watson Daniel. Rev. Daniel was the pastor of Jones Chapel Church of God. Mr. Stewart retired from Colonial Bakery in 1988. Mrs. Stewart is the former Alice Cummings.
