American Cancer Society press conference planned

The Lauderdale County board of the American Cancer Society plans to honor people Wednesday who made outstanding contributions this year the fight against cancer.
A press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Union Station. Volunteers and sponsors who received awards at the Mississippi Relay Rally last week in Jackson will be recognized.
The Lauderdale County Relay for Life campaign was recognized in several categories at the rally for work done by relay teams and service volunteers.
