CLARA FAYE WINSTEAD HARRIS

UNION Services for Clara Faye Winstead Harris will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Guess officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harris, 65, of Union, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Smith of Greenland and Donna Rash of Union; sons, David "Sonny" Winstead and his wife, Jackie, Kenneth Winstead, all of Union, and Mike Winstead of Woodville; a sister Patsy Matlock of Union and a brother, Rayburn Rush of Meridian; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Harris.
Pallbearers will be Scott Hall, Richie Rash and Derek Rash, Dennis Winstead, Sonny Winstead and Heath Winstead and Luke Smith.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Visitation for Valerie P. Mosley will be Friday 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at E. E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.
Ms. Mosley, 39, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Riley Hospital.

Services for Robert Gowdy will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove CME Church in Lauderdale with the Rev. William D. Burton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gowdy, 53, of Lauderdale, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his sons, Auburn Willis of Meridian and Terrance Gowdy of Dallas; his mother, Janie Mae Ramsey of Lauderdale; sisters, Lillie Sue Davis of Albuquerque, N.M., Gayle White of Porterville, Peggy Nicholson of Quitman, and Ellen Catchine, Johnnie Mae Parker and Niecy Parker, all of Brookhaven; brothers, George Parker of Hattiesburg and Al Gene Parker of Brookhaven; and one grandchild.
DANIEL JOHNSON
Services for Daniel Johnson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Zachary Operton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson, 33, of Houston, Texas, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, in Houston. He was employed in the communication industry. He was born in Meridian to Thelma Louise Matthews Johnson and Leory Johnson Sr.
He received his early education in the Meridian Public Schools where he earned his diploma. Daniel joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He later attended Electronic Engineering Technology Institute where he received an Associate of Arts degree.
He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as a youngster at Pleasant Hill Church in Yantley, Ala. and was nurtured by his parents in a great love of the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Johnson of Meridian; a son, Torrence Johnson of Sweetwater, Texas; his parents, Thelma Louis and Leroy Johnson Sr. of Meridian; a sister, Rosetta Robertson and her husband, Charles, of Meridian; three brothers, Robert Johnson and his wife, Mildred, Lamar Johnson and his wife, Cassandra, and Leroy Johnson Jr. and his wife, Betty, all of Meridian; nieces, Cassandra Dean, Cynthia Washington, Opal Miller, Michele Johnson, and Angela Johnson; nephews, Charles E. Robertson II, Robert Wayne Johnson, Clifton Lamar Johnson, Michael Johnson, Kevin Johnson and Mitchell Lamar Johnson, and several great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for Otis McMillian will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Love of God Fellowship Church in Rose Hill with the Rev. Sammie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Christian Methodist Church Cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McMillian, 94, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Survivors include a brother, S.B. McMillian of Chicago, Ill.; seven children, Annie Ruth Cooper and her husband, Jessie C., of Petal; Mary A. Bradley and her husband, Oscar, of Columbia; Darphine Wright and her husband, Melvin, and Alma L. Heidelberg and her husband, Jackson, all of Meridian; Johnny C. McMillian and his wife, Kathy, of Enterprise; Tommie C. McMillian and his wife, Elizabeth, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and David M. McMillian and his wife, Rosie, of Nashville, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.
