Hatcher, Darnell

Courtney Darnell of Collinsville and Andy Hatcher of Meridian were married Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Midway Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Grubbs and W.B. Webb officiating.
Parents of the couple are Malcolm and Bunny Darnell of Collinsville, and Les and Mary Hatcher of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Marian Bratton of Tupelo and the late A.E. Bratton Sr., and the late Herman and Evelyn Darnell of Collinsville.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the Rev. J.E. and Mary Sharp of Philadelphia, and the late Robert and Inez Hatcher.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Senita Webb, organist and pianist; Wayne Smith and Jaycee Butler, soloists; and Lindsey Mercer, Haley Mercer, Bethany Mercer, Emily Darnell and Morgan Jackson, hand bells.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
She wore a gown with a scoop neckline. The bodice was covered with floral embroidery and was repeated on the skirt and full-length train. Her veil was trimmed with piping to match her dress.
Angela Mercer of Enterprise attended her sister as matron of honor. Nickolee Tedder of Meridian served as maid of honor.
Other attendants were Kim Jackson of Dublin, Ohio, sister of the bride, Laura Campbell of Bailey, sister-in-law of the bride, and Melinda Darnell of Fort Worth, Texas, sister-in-law of the bride.
Anna Laura Campbell of Bailey, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Dean Hatcher and Aaron Hatcher, both of Meridian and brothers of the bridegroom, Chris Bearden of Collinsville and Jared Wright.
Brennan Hatcher of Meridian, nephew of the bridegroom was ring bearer.
Scripture was read by the Rev. J. E. Sharp, grandfather of the bridegroom.
Bridal registry was attended by Ashley Buri, niece of the bride, and Joanna May.
Program attendants were Joshua Campbell and Caleb Mercer, nephews of the bride.
A reception was held in the family life center of the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Mindy Espey, Shea Lockley, Elizabeth Woodall, Misty Miles and Kim Burden.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
