Bill and Deana Day part company with WMDN-TV

A shake-up occurred Friday morning at television station WMDN, as news anchors Bill and Deana Day found themselves out of work.
Susan Ross, manager of Meridian's CBS affiliate, issued a statement saying the husband-and-wife team has been replaced by Terry Graham, the longtime news director and anchor at WXVT in Greenville.
Ross said Bill and Deana Day will be pursuing "other career interests both inside and outside the Meridian area." She said the couple left the station on "a positive note."
Bill Day spoke briefly from his home Friday evening. He said he and his wife did not know anything about the change until after they were called into a meeting that morning.
The couple's biographies and photographs had been removed from WMDN's Web site by Friday night, and Graham anchored the Friday evening newscast.
Graham joined WXVT in 1995, and has also worked in Alabama, South Carolina, Texas and California. He has won a number of journalism awards during his career and serves on the board of directors of the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
