United Blood Services sets blood drive

Blue Bell Ice Cream Co. will give away a pint of ice cream to every one who visits United Blood Services to donate blood during the next two weeks.
On Aug. 30, you can donate blood, get a pint of ice cream and get a car wash just in time for Labor Day weekend.
United Blood Services is at 1115 25th Ave.; hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Friday.
United Blood Services has had a critical appeal for blood for several weeks. All blood types are needed, but especially type O negative and O positive.
Out of 100 people who will need blood, 50 percent will use type O.
