45th anniversary
Mickey and Barbara Sanders recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. They were married July 14, 1956, at Blackwater Baptist Church in Kemper County. The couple has two children, Debby Campbell and her husband, Roy, and "Chuck" Sanders and his wife, Donna; and four grandchildren.

Marie and William Prestridge of Meridian were married Aug. 1, 1999. The two were childhood sweethearts who first dated in 1946 at the age of 19 and 18. They reunited 50 years later after their spouses passed away. "He was my first love," said Marie. The Prestridge's enjoy traveling and have visited 45 states and five Canadian provinces. William has three daughters and four grandchildren. Mrs. Prestridge is the former Marie Williamson.
