REBECCA GALLASPY GREEN
MOBILE, ALa. Mrs. Rebecca Gallaspy Green, 87, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2002.
She was born in Newton, Miss., on Oct. 18, 1914. She lived in Hattiesburg, Miss., for most of her life and has been a resident of Mobile for the past 24 years.
A private graveside service will be held at Roseland Park in Hattiesburg on Monday, July 8, 2002. Radney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, Bernard Reed Green. Coach and Mrs. Green were actively involved with The University of Southern Mississippi throughout their lifetimes.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Dr. Andin C. McLeod Jr.; her son, Dr. James Reed Green Sr., and his wife, Kay; her grandchildren, Andin Capps McLeod III and his wife, Laura, Douglas Reed McLeod and his wife, Julie, Dr. James Reed Green Jr., and his wife, Julia, Rebecca McLeod Schmerbauch and her husband, Ben, Ashley Suzanne Green and Kathy Elise Green; her great-grandchildren, Andin Capps McLeod IV, William Patrick McLeod, Courtney Teal Schmerbauch, Megan Suzanne Schmerbauch, James Reed Green III, Elizabeth Suzanne McLeod, Grace Alexandra Schmerbauch, Laura Vaughan McLeod, Caroline Reed McLeod, John Benoist Green, Rebecca Caroline Green and Lucy Ann Green; a sister, Blanche Gallaspy Gambrell and her husband, Holmes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her only brother, James Bolan Gallaspy.
The family requests memorials be made to the Bernard Reed Green Endowment Fund at The University of Southern Mississippi Foundation in lieu of flowers, USM Athletic Department, P.O. Box 5017, Hattiesburg, MS 39406-5017.

Services for Cleola Johnson will be held at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, following visitation at the chapel from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
GERTRUDE RISHER
Graveside services for Gertrude Risher will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
KAROL O. KOCOUREK
Memorial services for Mr. Karol O. Kocourek will be held at a later date at the Church of the Mediator with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kocourek, 69, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
