Price of freedom reflected in sacrifice

The commanding officer of Naval Air Station Meridian said that the price of freedom was highlighted on Memorial Day during a ceremony in which veterans read a list of those who died.
Dickman, 46, took command of NAS Meridian on Aug. 8 after working at the Pentagon and being stationed on the West Coast. He quickly responded to the mention of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Dickman has a son who is an Army Ranger "who has been over to Afghanistan several times."
