WILLIE EADES
Retired
BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Willie Eades were held Friday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in York with the Rev. Willie Evans officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Eades, 77, of York, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Hill Hospital. He was a retired employee of Causey Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Willie Eades Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio; six brothers, Herbert Eades, J.C. Eades, Jerry Eades and Robert Eades, all of Cleveland, Herman Eades of Detroit and Joe Eades of Laurel; a sister, Barnette Hitchcox of Cleveland; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VIRGIL LUCILLE NORDAN
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Virgil Lucille Nordan will be held today at 2 p.m. at Gilbertown Seventh Day Adventist Church with the Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Gilbertown Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nordan, 87, of Gilbertown, died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Butler.
Survivors include a son, Charles Nordan of Gilbertown; a sister, Gladys Harris of Eight Mile; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cleo Nordan.
VICTOR G. JONES
Retired
Services for Victor G. Jones will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Jones, 84, of Meridian, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Meridian. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1937. A veteran of World War II, he graduated from officers candidate school in 1942. Mr. Jones served two years overseas with the Eighth Air Force. After completing his tour of duty, he graduated from Louisiana State University in 1949. He retired from Standard Supply &Hardware of New Orleans and was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School until 1990.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lorene Smith Jones of Meridian; a son, Victor G. Jones Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Magee; a brother, Stanley Jones of New Orleans; three grandchildren, Jan Keiser of Apopka, Fla., Brad Jones and Lindsey Jones, both of Magee; and two great-grandchildren, Jessie and Jake Keiser, both of Apopka.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
REBEKAH WIMBERLY

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Rebekah Wimberly will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lester Pope and Randall Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Chapel Cemetery in Silas.
Mrs. Wimberly, 55, of Silas, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Providence Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Brown Wimberly of Silas; two daughters, Deborah Cunningham and her husband, David, of Brookwood and Kerry Fountain and her husband, Mike, of Silas; a son, Ronny Wimberly of Silas; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
LILLIE B. WHITLOCK
Retired
Services for Lillie B. Whitlock will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Greater Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Perrien officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Whitlock, 90, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Broadmoor Health Care CTR-Rehab.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Davis of Meridian; a brother, Willie Hall Jr., of Meridian; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
BIRTETT MOORE
Services for Birtett "Bud" Moore will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Odell Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery.
Mr. Moore, 61, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his former wife, Alberta B. Moore of Meridian; three daughters, Veretta Barfield and Cynthia Moore, both of Meridian and Saundra Davis of Texas; two sons, Darryl C. Barfield and his wife, Lisa, of Little Rock, Ark., and Michael Moore and his wife, Linda, of Meridian; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
