Blown wheel seal causes truck fire

Firefighters from Alamucha VFD and Toomsuba VFD dispatched units Saturday to a weigh station on Interstate 20, past the Kewanee community, after an 18-wheeler was reported to be on fire.
Robert York of Alamucha VFD said the incident occurred about 7:40 p.m.
The truck was carrying noodles.
York said the driver will have a layover in the Meridian area as repairs to his truck are done.
