The Lauderdale County Habitat for Humanity plans to dedicate a house at 1 p.m. Saturday that volunteers are finishing at 1802 39th Place in Meridian.
Central United Methodist Church members are sponsoring and helping build the house. The new house will be finished this week; Steve Mason of Meridian will become the new owner.
Habitat for Humanity is an international ecumenical Christian ministry that helps build homes for people who otherwise could not afford their own place.
The homes include no-interest loans. The owner pays a $500 down-payment and is required to work at least 500 hours helping build the home.
