Services for Samuel Clarence Smith will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 74, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at his home. He was a member of the Air National Guard and a member of the Collinsville Church of God.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Willard and her husband, Dale, of Meridian; a grandson, Chris Dozier and his wife, Missye, of Collinsville; a great-granddaughter, Mallorye Dozier of Collinsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel C. and Mary Smith; four brothers, George, Walter, Dovis and Odell Smith; and a sister, Ada McMulley.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Knight, James Sistrunk, Donald Smith, Mike Smith, Jack Collum, Chad Rainer, Scotty Denton and Bruce Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Watson, Jr, Ed Fears, Darryl Wiggins and Robert Baskett.
CHRISTOPHER HOWARD
Services for Christopher Howard will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Fifth Street Baptist Church with the Rev. W.C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Howard, 24, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Earnest and Shelia Robinson of Meridian; Lloyd Gaines of Jackson; two daughters, Chrishna Matoya Howard and Christyne Matasia Howard, both of Meridian; a son, Cri'Darius Montoriq Howard of Carthage; a maternal grandparent, Joe' Addie Howard, a paternal grandparent, Evelyn Gaines Crump and a step-grandmother, Stella Chase Howard, all of Jackson; a very special friend, Latrecia McDonald of Meridian; and a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ETHA MAE TERRELL
Hospice worker
QUITMAN Services for Etha Mae Terrell will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter M.B. Church in Vossburg with the Elder Charles Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Terrell, 50, of Shubuta, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at her home. She worked as a CNA at Horizon Hospice in Decatur.
Survivors include her son, Raymond C. Castleberry, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Rosalinda Terrell of Shubuta; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
