OBITUARIES FOR MONDAY, DEC. 3, 2001

WILLIAM ALBERT PITTMAN
Retired fisherman
ELLISVILLE Services for William Albert "Alan" Pittman will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Deaman officiating. Burial will be in Ellisville Cemetery.
Mr. Pittman, 68, of Florence, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in Florence. A native of Ellisville he had lived in Galveston, Texas for 50 years. He was a retired commercial fisherman and owner of the Ole Galveston Seafood Restaurant. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his longtime companion Judy Holcomb of LaMarque, Texas; a daughter, Paige Pittman of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Alfred Ray "Buddy" Pittman of Hattiesburg, Billy W. Pittman of Florence and Jimmy D. Pittman of Ocean Springs; four sisters, Jewel Porter of Hattiesburg, Tina DeWolf of Bossier City, La. and Joyce Reynolds and Jean Hayes, both of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison and Inez Pittman; a sister, Donnis Pittman; and a brother, Gary Pittman, all of Ellisville.
Visitation will be held today from 5:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Graveside visitation will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.
BILLY GENE GLASS
QUITMAN Services for Billy Gene Glass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at DeSoto Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jim Smith and Norman Robinson officiating. Burial will be in DeSoto Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Glass, 64, of Quitman, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Glass; three sons, Jeffery Lee Glass, Steven Carter Glass and William Bryan Glass; and his mother, Katherine Carter Glass, all of Quitman; three sisters, Charlotte G. Chatham of Chalmatte, La., Margerine Glass of Quitman and Barbara McCarty of Dallas; and a brother, Michael Glass of Quitman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the DeSoto Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
NINA HELLEN ARCHIOPOLI
Seamstress
Graveside services for Nina Hellen Archiopoli will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Sykes officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Archiopoli, 88, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a self-employed professional seamstress and a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Barker of Meridian; a daughter, Mary Chislom of DeKalb; a sister, Lou Watson of Light House Point, Fla.; four grandsons; a niece; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene E. Sumrall and Ackie Stokes.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
DAVID KEETON
Homemaker
Graveside services for David Keeton will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Meridian Memorial Park with the Revs. Chuck Overby and Jeff Hancock officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keeton, 61, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, April Keeton Wilson of Meridian; two sons, David Cooper Keeton and Jessie Keeton Jr., both of Meridian; a sister, Judy Kilgore of Toomsuba; five brothers, Robert W. Keeton, Roger D. Keeton, Jessie A. Keeton and Donald R. Keeton all of Meridian and James "Lucky" Keeton of Toomsuba; four grandchildren, Kristal M. Wilson, Dustin A. Wilson, Shanna Rae Keeton and Jordan T. Keeton; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Lena Keeton; two brothers, Jimmy A. Keeton and Alvin Keeton; two sisters, Gail Keeton and Willard Jane Williams; two nephews; and a niece.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bolewar, Danny Kilgore, Joey Shirley, Chip Sciple, Jimmy Brown and Ray Williams.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MARY BALLARD
Retired Winn Dixie employee
Services for Mary Ballard will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell LuQuire officiating. Burial will be in DeVoe Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard, 77, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Odell Ballard of Meridian; a sister, Lois Cullum and her husband, J.M., of Jackson; a brother, Bill Sheppard and his wife, Jeanette, of Macon; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
