Retired farmer
Services for John G. Lunsford will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ann L. Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
Mr. Lunsford, 90, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Alliance Health Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Wade of Meridian and Cari Lynn Duff of Richmond, Ky.; a son, John David Lunsford of Richmond,; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha James of Florida; and five brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Lunsford and a son, John C. Lunsford.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Lunsford, John Lunsford, Roger Key, James Smith, Darrell Bush and Kemo Scott.
Honorary pallbearer will be John David Lunsford.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Judy Williams Wright will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Lucky and Ben Jerald officiating. Burial will be in Bogaloosa Cemetery in Land.
Mrs. Wright, 56, of Butler, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Herschel Wright and a son, David M. Wright, both of Butler; three daughters, Michelle Hare of Gilbertown, Kim James of Butler and Jackie Clearman of Enterprise, Miss.; three brothers, Jr. Williams and Nelson Williams, both of Fruitdale, and Ray Hutchius of Michigan; two sisters, Ann Brown of Fruitdale and Faye Platt of State Line, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

UNION Graveside services for James Lee Thomas will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Finch officiating. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomas, 57, of Union, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Laird Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille Thomas of Union; a daughter, Amy Thomas of Pearl; a son, James P. Thomas of Benton, Ark.; a sister, Betty Henry of Union; two brothers, Charles Thomas of Columbus and Paul Thomas of Marion.
Visitation will be Sunday 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Thomas "T.C." Smith will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Dennis Mack officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 76, of Quitman, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Meley Smith of Quitman; six daughters, Neldia McKenzie, Shirley Glover, Janette McKenzie, Diane Pointer, Teressa McKenzie and Shelia Smith all of Quitman; four sons, Kalip Smith of Auroia, Calif., and Thomas Smith Jr., Thomas Carl Smith and Youvone Smith, all of Meridian; five sisters, Charlie Mae Brown and Mattie Lee Preston, both of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Rosa Lee Jackson and Artie Pearl Nicholson, both of Caruthersville, Mo., and Willie Mae Temple of Denver; and a brother, Willie Lee Smith of Fort Dodge.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Timothy W. Muse Sr. will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Muse, 31, of Newton, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Riley Hospital in Meridian. He was public works director for the city of Newton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
WALKER WOODS
Retired
Services for Walker Woods will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Love City Fellowship Church with the Rev. Lemodis Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Woods, 61, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired employee of the city of Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Woods of Meridian; two daughters, Hattie Woods and Sharon Espy, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Sharon Blackshear of the U.S. Navy, stationed in Puerto Rico; a stepson, Henry Hunt of Rolla, Mo.; four sisters, Henrietta Bell, Reba Patman, Corene Johnson and Cora Lee Richie, all of Chattanooga; a brother, Hosea Woods of Chattanooga; a granddaughter; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
