Manuel, Holland

Laura Elaine Holland and George Clifton Manuel, both of Clinton, were married Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Provine Chapel in Clinton, with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Self officiating.
Parents of the couple are Steve and Phyllis Holland of Clinton and Jim and Martha Sinclair of Brookhaven.
Grandparents of the bride are Melba Mayo of York, Ala., and the late Herbert Mayo; Bob and Edna Holland of Ridgeland, formerly of Meridian. She is the great-granddaughter of Ila Dean Bridges of York and Cornelia Ambrose of Ridgeland, formerly of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. George Manuel of Pass Christian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clark of Ruth.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Patsy Simpson, organist; Nancy Fisher, pianist; and Wendy Copeland, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a satin gown with a modified V-shaped neckline bodice with an inverted neckline of Alencon lace at the empire waistline. The A-line skirt was also finished with an extensive Alencon lace hemline.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Warren of Clinton and matron of honor was Brandye Boyd of Brandon.
Other attendants were Terri Columbus of Meridian, Tina Condello and Michelle Massad, both of Atlanta, and Amy Ellis of Austin, Texas.
Avery and Allyssa Crowe of Clinton were flower girls.
Clark Manuel of Madison served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Joey Boyd of Brandon, Jeff Crowe of Clinton, Mac May of Jackson, Groves Powers of Jackson and Shaun Walker of Ridgeland.
Program and guest book attendant was Laura Lee Mayo of Meridian.
A reception was held at the Dupree House in Raymond following the ceremony. Servers were Deann Crain, Suzanne Green and Shelly Bogan.
After a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Clinton.
