OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, OCT. 23, 2001

JAMES L. HARRIS
Retired grocery clerk
Services for James L. Harris were held Saturday at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Claude Fleming and Doug Stone officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Harris, 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice of Meridian. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of United Commercial Travels, Highland United Methodist Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Annie B. Harris; two sons, Donald Ray Harris and his wife, Glenda, of Philadelphia and Jerry Wayne Harris and his wife, Elizabeth, of Marion; two grandchildren, Jennifer Harris and Jared Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Harris.
Pallbearers were Melvin Burnett Jr., Melvin Burnett Sr., John Vincent, Wilton S. Holston Jr., James Cain and Lidge Fulton.
The family requests memorials be made to Highland Methodist Church or a favorite charity.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Frances Kirkland Sanders will be held today at 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Cooper officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sanders, 77, of Enterprise, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Steve Kirkland of Enterprise; a daughter, Ann Moody of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Bobby Hegwood of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Margie Priester of Ocean Springs and Nettie White of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services for Thomas A. "Tommy" Johnson Jr. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Chunky Baptist Church with the Revs. Wayne Campbell and Kim Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson, 40, of Chunky, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, in Chunky.
Survivors include a daughter, Adrian Naomi Johnson of Newton; his father, Thomas Adrian Johnson Sr. of Chunky; an uncle, Grady Johnson; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Davidson Johnson and a daughter, Brandy Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Embrey, Robert Roberts, Mike Luke, David Akin, Ty Clark, James Benton, Johnny Ferguson and Billy Dean.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Hayes, Jerry Luke, Roger Shirley, Billy Gressett and DeWayne Reynolds.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the services.
GERALD BROWN CHISOLM

WEDOWEE, Ala. Services for Gerald Brown Chisolm will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Felder officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Luthersville Cemetery in Luthersville, Ga.
Mr. Chisolm, 63, of Wedowee, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Glynda Strickland Chisolm of Wedowee; his mother, Robbie Sue Chisolm of Buckhead, Ga.; three daughters, Tracey Chisolm and Christy Cole, both of Wedowee, and Teresa Chisolm of Austell, Ga.; four sons, Tommy Dean Chisolm and Todd Gerald Chisolm both of Douglasville, Ga., Tony lee Chisolm of Wedowee and Jeff lee Lovins of Ashland; a sister, Donna Brady of Buckhead; a brother, Michael Chisolm of Snellville, Ga.: 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
W. CLELL WILLIAMS

UNION Services for W. Clell Williams will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Hudson Chapel Church of God with the Revs. Edward Dickerson, Frank McGaugh and Joe Boswell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams, 75, of Decatur, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in his home. He loved his church and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nellie Burns French Williams of Decatur; four daughters, Virginia Loper and her husband, Jody, Jackie Thompson and her husband, Dale, all of Decatur, Betty Lucroy and her husband, Doyce, of Pontotoc and Joyce Sparacino and her husband, Billy, of Birmingham, Ala.; six brothers, Carlton Williams of Monroe, La., Jim Williams of Natchez, Charles, Tommy Ray and Jerry Williams, all of Conehatta, Clyde Williams of Union; three sisters, Gladys Vance of Decatur, Sula Gardner of Meridian and Katherleen Dickerson of Conehatta; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
