JACKSON Hailey Elizabeth Wile of Meridian and John Maury Allin III of Jackson were married Saturday, August 4, 2001, at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, with the Rev. John Stone Jenkins, Rt. Rev. Alfred Clark Marble and The Very Rev. Joseph O. Robinson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Aldrich Wile of Meridian and Dr. and Mrs. John Maury Allin Jr. of Jackson.
Grandparents of the bride are Luella Aldrich Wile of San Diego and the late Daniel David Wile and William Harvey Watson Jr. and Sarah Brown Hanner Watson.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Ann Kelly Allin and the late Rt. Rev. John Maury Allin Sr., Thomas Jones Biggs and Louise Wallis Biggs.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Stephen Clapp, violin; John Paul, organ and pianoforte; and Wayne Lindham, trumpet.
The couple was presented for marriage by their parents.
She wore a gown of duchess silk satin fashioned with a sculptured strapless bodice that was closed in the back and covered with buttons and loops. From the fitted waistline fell the contoured skirt featuring tiny gathers in the back and a sweeping chapel train. Her veil formed tiers of illusion in silk organza ribbon.
Matron of honor was Sarah Watson Wile.
Other attendants were Melissa Kate Pearce, Meredith Anne Rea and Mailande Elizabeth Vise, all of Meridian; Carlyle Wolfe of Canton; Elizabeth Greer Proctor of Jackson; and Molly Catherine Campbell and Sara Abigail Taylor, both of Memphis, Tenn.
The father of the groom was best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Daniel Frederick Wile, brother of the bride, of Meridian; Thomas Jones Biggs Allin, brother of the groom, James Lawrence Dickson and Watts Casper Ueltschey Jr., all of Jackson; William Abner Skelton IV, cousin of the groom, of Madison; Deaver Hiatt Collins of Nashville, Tenn.; David Matthew Compton, Terry Phillip Dubose Jr. and Walton Womack Jones.
Program attendants were Jennifer Leah Barnes, Kelly Elizabeth Jarrett and Lea Marcella McCracken.
Acolytes were Ann Taylor Churchill Butler, Elizabeth Allin Gordon Butler, Martha Jordan Blackstone Butler, Ann Nichols Skelton and John Wood Skelton, cousins of the bride.
Readers were Marsha Sanderson Hurt and David Hemeter Johnson. Chalice bearers were Geraldine Holladay and Margaret Peters McLarty.
A reception was held at the Fairview Inn following the ceremony.
The couple will reside in Jackson.
