Lamar places 3rd overall

CLINTON Both Lamar School track teams finished in third place Monday here at the Lamar Invitational which was held at Choctaw Trails.
In the boys division, Lamar finished with 86 points. Jackson Academy won the division with 30 points while Jackson Prep 79.
Ian Hajek of Lamar was the first place finisher with a time of 15:49. J. Grantham came in fourth overall with a time of 16:23. Other Raider finishers were as follows: Lathan Farley, 20th; John Blubaugh, 31st; and, Justin Mitchell, 34th.
The Lamar girls tailed 95 points to finish third. Jackson Prep won the meet with 31 points, and Simpson Academy came in second with 44.
Holly Corbitt of Lamar finished 9th overall. Other Lamar finishers include: Libby Huff, 19th; Lisa Swartfager, 21st; Elaine Clarke, 24th; and, Britney Sherrill, 26th.
