OBITUARIES FOR SUNDAY, AUG. 26, 2001

JOHN M. RENFROE
LA GRANGE, Ga. – John M. Renfroe, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001. Born March 3, 1920, in Meridian, he was the son of H.B. and Margarite Ormond Renfroe. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a 1950 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Mr. Renfroe had been a La Grange resident since 1969 and retired with Milliken and Company.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle J. Renfroe, two sons, John M. Renfroe Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, and Robert T. Renfroe of Lexington, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Susan L. Renfroe; and five grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church in LaGrange or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7605, Columbus, Ga. 31908.
Striffler-Hamby Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Judy Jenkins will be held today at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Wilcher officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Miss Jenkins, 28, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, in Neshoba County. She was employed at Brook Manufacturing in Union.
Survivors include a son, JaColby Jenkins; her parents, Albert and Jeanette Jenkins; three sisters, Sonya Wesley, Tonya Carter and Ashley Jenkins; a brother, Boogie Jenkins and her maternal grandmother, Helen Nowell, all of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shea Shea.
LEONARD EUGENE CLAYTON SR.

COLUMBUS Services for Leonard Eugene Clayton Sr. will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Derek Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clayton, 70, of Columbus, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Frances Jones Clayton of Columbus; two sons, Leonard Eugene Clayton Jr. and his wife, Glenda, of Minneapolis, Minn. and Timothy Albert Clayton and his wife, Lisa, of Montgomery, Ala.; three daughters, Marsha Jelane Cleaveland and her husband, David, missionaries to the Philippines, Lora Teresa Welch, and her husband, Kenneth, of Tucson, Ariz. and Leonora Suzanne Harmon and her husband, Wesley, of Columbus; two brothers, Richard A. Clayton and his wife, Kathy, of Houston and M.L. Clayton Jr. of Meridian and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Yarbrough, Mike Willis, Gene Painter, Walter Worthy, Robert Ashcraft and Randy Abrams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of the Overcomers Sunday School Class, the Experienced Citizens Bowling League and his three doctors, Robert Jones, John P. Whitecar and Jason Waller.
Visitation will be held today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

JACKSON Services for Willie Roberts will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston, Ala. Burial will be in Myrtlewood Cemetery in Livingston. Mark Seepe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Roberts, 83, of Jackson, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was retired from Eckerd's Drug Store as a sales representative. She was a native of Chilton County, Ala.
Survivors include a sister, Ola Dohlstrom of Jackson and two brothers, Burton Osborne and Leonard Osborne, both of Maplesville, Ala.
Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
GERALDINE BOONE SHOWS
Homemaker
Services for Geraldine Boone Shows will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Shows, 88, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Church.
Survivors include a son, Jack Arthur Shows and his wife, Rosemarie of Jackson; a granddaughter, Jennifer Shows of Jackson and a brother, D.W. Boone of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aron Price Shows.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
