OBITUARIES FOR FRIDAY, AUG. 24, 2001

GERTIE BELL ROBINSON
QUITMAN n Services for Gertie Bell Robinson will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stonewall Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Steve Bursey, Grady Crowell and Roy Dabbs officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Robinson, 81, of Stonewall, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. She was born in Stonewall on May 19, 1920, to Ira Columbus Martin and Mattie B. Harwell Martin. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and loved in return by all who knew her.
Survivors include a son, Eric Robinson and his wife, Teresa, of Quitman; three daughters, Ramona Smith and her husband, Wylie, Rebecca Ledbetter and her husband, Keith, and Deborah Robinson and her husband, Benny, all of Stonewall; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Robinson and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Reeves.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Ben Robinson, Chip Ledbetter, Tal Robinson, Tony Robinson, Bryan Williams and Josh Williams.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Thomas L. Booker Jr. will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Steve Mabry officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Booker, 57, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Booker of Philadelphia; two sons, Thomas L. Booker III of Philadelphia and Robert Bryan Booker of Jackson; a brother, Robert Dean Booker of Baton Rouge, La.; and two grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Mississippi Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
HARRIET FITTS MORRISON
Homemaker
Services for Harriet Fitts Morrison will be held Saturday at noon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Revs. Merrill Wade and Edward O'Conner officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morrison, 79, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at King's Daughters &Sons. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and of Earnest Workers Circle of King's Daughters &Sons.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest E. Morrison of Meridian; two sons, Charles E. Morrison and his wife, Ann, of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Michael E. Morrison of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Rosalee M. Hamilton and her husband, William T.L., of St. Michael's, Md.; four grandchildren, Rebecca Morrison, Brian Morrison, Rosalie Hamilton, William T.L. "Brad" Hamilton Jr.; and a brother, Charles M. Fitts Jr. and his wife, Jane W., of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Fitts Morrison.
The family requests memorials be made to King's Daughters &Sons.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the church.
HENRY WILSON EVANS
NEWTON Services for Henry Wilson Evans will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery with Whitehead and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Evans, 73, of Newton, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Newton Regional Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Lee Robinson Evans of Newton; six children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from noon-2 p.m. at the church.
