Slamming, bamming, hooray, hooray for the Meridian 10-year-olds who beat Westfield to advance to the Cal Ripken World Series.
A high scoring, error-free game, the final was 12-10 as Meridian's slow and steady approach won the game.
Westfield managed to score 8 runs in the fourth inning alone, but it was still no match for Meridian racking up 3, 4, and 4, runs in consecutive innings.
Standout Kenny Roberts led the charge going 4-5 at the plate including 2 doubles and 4 runs scored.
Next stop will be versus Glenn Allen, Va., tonight at 6 p.m.
