Helen Zapalac and Pete Zapalac of Sealy, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Lynn Guthrie, to Phillip Allen Horel, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert H. Horel of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 28, 2001, at the First Methodist Church of Sealy.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Sealy High School and currently attends college in Houston, Texas.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, he was president of the Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity. Mr. Horel is currently employed by AVO International in Houston.
