Student suspended

An eight-year-old Parkview Elementary School student has been suspended after school authorities confiscated a razor blade Tuesday afternoon.
Sam Thompson, director of the district's safety center, said a student reported the razor to a teacher.
Safety officers were called to the scene and the razor blade was confiscated. The student was suspended for three days.
No injuries were reported.
